“New Year, New Pier” for Entertainment Cruises at the Wharf

Entertainment Cruises, Washington, DC celebrated its “New Year New Pier” initiative with a private tour unveiling their new office space—shaped like a ship and located in the heart of the revitalized Wharf complex.  A celebratory sunset cocktail reception and dinner cruise followed on the recently renovated Spirit of Washington.

More than 200 guests enjoyed a hard-hat tour of the office space led by StudioMB Architects, dockside entertainment including stilt walkers, hoola-hoopers and a DJ, and a sunset dinner cruise providing cherry-blossom-filled scenes of DC.

As a special treat, District Doughnut served fun-fetti doughnut holes and made-to-order crème brûlée doughnuts complete with propane-torched icing. EPNAC (Event Photography of North America Corporation) photographed guests with their roving photo station known as the “Selfie Stick iPad Thing.”

Entertainment Cruises’ new office space will serve as their DC operation’s headquarters and main cruise depot. Located on the Washington Channel, the building sits upon the company’s original 1940’s pier and is clad in high-performance material with an emphasis on energy efficiency.
Entertainment Cruises’ office space also operates Potomac Riverboat Company—the Wharf’s new water taxi service—transporting patrons between The Wharf, Georgetown, Old Town Alexandria and National Harbor.
