On Thursday, September 19, 2019, Marnie Oursler was honored as the keynote speaker at East Carolina University’s 2019 Incredible ECU Women Luncheon—an event hosted every three years by the university’s Women’s Roundtable, celebrating notable alumnae recognized for their accomplishments after graduation.

Marnie—an ECU alumna class of 2001—gave the keynote address for the event, noting the importance of hard work, leadership and encouraging young women to write their own story. The event continued to recognize the legacy of 11 honorees who have demonstrated leadership while making a difference in the campus community.

Proceeds from the event totaled close to $100,000 and benefit the ECU Women’s Roundtable scholarship endowments, providing funds for student scholarships in an effort to contribute to female undergraduate growth at the university.
